Mount Everest

Ain't no mountian high enough!

In October 2011 we will be climbing Mount Everest to the Base Camp at 20,000 ft to raise hopefully over £30,000 in aid of the Metropolitan Sanctuary for Sick Children Kenya, and the Belfast Children's Hospice.

Two members of the team have climbed Kilimanjaro twice on behalf of these charities, a further 10 have climbed it once and for the rest this will be their first high attitude climb.

The team of twenty two have had three training days so far in the Mourne Mountains in County Down, Northern Ireland.  The team have managed to reduce its original time by an hour and a half to get to the top of Donnard and down again.  the next training day will see the team try for six peaks for a more realistic idea of what Napal will be like.

Will keep you posted as things develop.  Thank you for your support!
